In the summer of 2022, a resident of Kherson organized the educational process at the university according to Russian standards. The pre-trial investigation against her has now been completed and the indictment has been sent to court.
According to Chermen Tuskaev, deputy head of the Kherson Police Investigation Department, the 52-year-old woman voluntarily agreed to work at the university illegally established by the occupiers. In early August 2022, she was appointed to the position of "first vice-rector" of the "state budgetary educational institution of higher education of the Kherson region, Kherson Agrarian University."
According to him, the pseudo-head immediately began to implement the education standards of the Russian Federation at the "university". To do this, she first joined the admission committee and at its first meeting, on the initiative of the "first vice-rector", the "rules for admission to Kherson Agrarian University in 2022" were approved, identical to the rules of the aggressor state of Russia. Later, as a member of the admission committee, the defendant organized and accepted documents from applicants for admission to the"university".
The woman was also responsible for the selection of academic staff, development and approval of curricula and basic educational programs, which completely excluded the requirements set by the state educational standards of Ukraine.
In addition, she ensured that the educational process was conducted in Russian and personally taught the discipline "technologies of processing milk and dairy products" in the language of the occupiers. In order to improve her personal language skills, the "first vice-rector" took advanced training courses in the Russian language and culture of teaching before the start of the school year, and received a certificate.
Before the de-occupation of Kherson , the defendant fled to the left bank. Therefore, investigators served her with a notice of suspicion of collaboration in absentia. The pre-trial investigation has now been completed, the indictment has been approved by the regional prosecutor's office and sent to court. The defendant faces correctional labor for up to two years, or arrest for up to six months, or imprisonment for up to three years with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of ten to five years.
