The wife of the Deputy Prosecutor General received a Russian passport after the occupation of Crimea

The wife of the Deputy Prosecutor General, Hanna Krym, and her parents received Russian passports in April 2014, following the occupation of Crimea.

According to the investigation, Hanna Krym received a Russian passport on April 2, 2014. The document lists her registration in Sevastopol. Her parents, Vyacheslav and Larisa Yushkov, received Russian passports on April 30 of the same year, also with registration in Sevastopol.

Journalists noted that after the occupation, Russia launched a campaign of forced passport issuance in Crimea. At the same time, as of 2026, the information regarding the Russian passport held by the wife of Deputy Prosecutor General Maksym Krym remains valid. It has not been possible to determine whether the document was revoked or whether she is currently using it.

Anna Krym is originally from Sevastopol. According to border crossing records, after obtaining a Russian passport, she continued to travel to Crimea from mainland Ukraine, most recently in October 2015.

According to journalists, in 2014, Maksym Krym served in the military prosecutor’s office of the Crimean region. According to the then-Chief Military Prosecutor Anatoliy Matios, in the spring of that year, Krym, together with Ruslan Kravchenko, destroyed documents from the Crimean Prosecutor’s Office for Oversight in the Military Sphere and left for mainland Ukraine.

Journalists reached out to Maksym Krym, his wife, and her mother for comment, as well as to the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). As of publication, no responses had been received.

Maksym Krym has worked in the prosecutor’s office since 2010. In 2023, he became head of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, and on June 25, 2025, he was appointed Deputy Prosecutor General.

In February, it was revealed that former Prosecutor GeneralRuslan Kravchenkoand his deputies had family ties to Russia and occupied Crimea. According to journalists, the Prosecutor General’s father,Andriy Kravchenko, received citizenship of the Russian Federation in June 2023.
