The daughter of Saldo, the so-called head of the Kherson region, has been accused of crimes against national security

Iryna Saldo, the daughter of the head of the occupation administration in the Kherson region, has been added to the “Myrotvorets” database. She is accused of supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The Center for Public Investigations has determined the grounds for her inclusion in the database. 

According to the “Myrotvorets” Center, Iryna Saldo was born on May 10, 1980, in Yevpatoria. Her profile also states that she is an advisor to the vice president of Uranium One Group—an international uranium holding company linked to the Russian state corporation Rosatom.

Journalists from KibOrg and Slidstvo.Info found that Iryna Saldo lived in France for a long time, where she worked as a photographer and was involved in real estate, design, and luxury investments. She registered a company in the French registry in 2017 that operated in the real estate sector and ceased operations at the end of 2025.

According to the investigation, between 2016 and 2021, Iryna purchased at least four properties in Menton and Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, three of which she later sold. Journalists also reported on her collaboration with an Italian businessman and his company.

In 2023, she obtained Russian citizenship. In July 2024, she registered ownership of an apartment in the luxury residential complex “English Quarter” in Moscow.

According to Transparency International Ukraine, in May 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) confiscated the assets of Volodymyr Saldo and his wife Lyubov for the state. Separately, the assets of Iryna Saldo and the family-linked company PJSC “Khersonbud Design and Construction Firm” were seized.

As reported by the Center for Policy and Reform (CPR), Iryna owned 8.5636% of the company’s shares. Previously, “Khersonbud” had received contracts to repair facilities in Kherson when Saldo was mayor.

In June 2026, a court sentenced Volodymyr Saldo to 15 years in prison in absentia. According to the investigation, it was on his orders that approximately 3,000 metric tons of Ukrainian grain, worth nearly 15 million hryvnias, were transported out of the Kherson region in the fall of 2022.
