In the Odesa region, the occupiers once again attacked a border crossing on the border with Moldova

In the Odesa region, Russian troops attacked the "Vynohradivka–Vulkeniști" international border crossing on the border with Moldova using strike drones. The attack damaged the checkpoint’s infrastructure, and its operations have been temporarily suspended.
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the attack took place on the night of August 25. The occupiers used Shahed-type attack drones.
The attack damaged the infrastructure of the international road border crossing. The fire that broke out after the attack was contained by emergency responders.
Currently, the passage of citizens and vehicles through “Vynohradivka” has been suspended, and customs formalities are not being processed. The Ukrainian side has informed its Moldovan counterparts of the situation.
Vehicles are being rerouted to other border crossing points on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.
The State Customs Service urges citizens and carriers to take this information into account when planning their routes and to choose other operational border crossing points.
Recently, the“Tabaky” international border crossing on the border between the Odesa region and Moldova was damaged by a nighttime drone attack by Russian forces. The passage of people and vehicles was temporarily suspended on the morning of August 21.
Earlier, Russia launched a drone attack on the Renii community in the Odesa region. At that time, a strike was recorded on a facility near the “Reni–Giurgiulești” international border crossing. Fires broke out but were extinguished. There were no injuries or fatalities,accordingto the Izmail District Military Administration.
Also, during the attack on the southern part of the Odesa region,aRussianmissile-carrying dronestrayed into Moldovan territory and crashed into a cornfield, causing an explosion and a fire.
Earlier, the Odesa Region Infrastructure Restoration Service announcedtendersfor the maintenance of nine border crossing points on the border with Moldova, with a total value of 69 million hryvnias.
