In the Kherson region, two people were killed and 23 were injured over the past 24 hours, including a child

Over the past day, Russian forces attacked Kherson and 45 settlements in the region. As a result of the Russian aggression, two people were killed and 23 others were wounded, including a child.

This was reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration.

Russian forces used aircraft, artillery, and attack drones. Among the settlements targeted by enemy attacks were Kherson, Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Komyshany, Stanislav, Tyahynka, Novovorontsovka, Osokorivka, Zolota Balka, and other settlements in the region.

The occupiers targeted critical and social infrastructure as well as residential neighborhoods. Three high-rise buildings and six private homes were damaged, as well as the “Point of Indomitable Spirit,” outbuildings, agricultural equipment, a garage, and vehicles.

According to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a 76-year-old woman was killed in Shyroka Balka on August 24 as a result of Russian attacks. Also during the day in Kherson, three adults and an 11-year-old boy were injured in drone attacks. The child was hospitalized.

Three more people were injured as a result of artillery shelling in Komyshany, and one person was injured in Bilozerka. The prosecutor’s office has launched pre-trial investigations into alleged war crimes.

Meanwhile, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that four people were evacuated from liberated communities in the region.

On August 23, seven people were wounded as a result of Russian attacks on the Kherson region.

On August 22, Russian forces attacked Kherson and 38 settlements in the region, resulting in 11 people being wounded.

On the night of August 21, Russian invaders carried out an airstrike on the dormitories of Kherson State University. The buildings sustained significant damage as a result of the strike.
