A rally in support of former Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and his reinstatement to that position was held at the bottom of the former Kakhovka Reservoir.
This was reported by one of the rally participants, Ivan Moiseenko.
There were only a few participants—four in all—and they held homemade cardboard signs reading “This Is the Bottom” and “We’ve Reached the Bottom, and They’re Knocking from Below,” meaning there were no direct calls to action mentioning the former minister.
“A rally in support of Mykhailo Fedorov at the bottom of the former Kakhovka Reservoir,” wrote Ivan Moiseenko.
On the night of June 5,the Russians blew up the dam at the Kakhovka HydroelectricPower Plant. At least 34 people were killed, and another 28 were injured. Nearly 40 people are considered missing. People and pets were evacuated from three flooded areas.

In Ukraine, rallies in support of Mykhailo Fedorov have been taking place for several days in a row, during which Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi has also faced heavy criticism. According to the official account, it was the conflict between these two figures that led to the defense minister’s dismissal. On Sunday, July 19, residents of Odesa took to the streets for the fourth consecutive day toprotest the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from his post asdefense minister. Since early morning, Russianoccupiers have been launching missile and drone strikes onOdesa,with air raid sirens and explosions ringing outconstantly.
However, this did not prevent the city’sresidents from holding another rally in support ofFedorov,whom Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed from his postjust as the upper hand on the battlefield had allegedly shifted to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, in Izmail, Odesa Oblast, the Executive Committee of the Izmail City Council banned local activists from holding a rally against the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov as Ukraine’s defense minister.
