A memorial to 281 fallen defenders was unveiled in Pervomaisk

On September 19, City Day, the “Alley of Glory” memorial complex was unveiled in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast, in honor of the fallen defenders of Ukraine—residents of the community.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.
The memorial features 281 photographs of fallen servicemen and women from the Pervomaisk community. Among them are four Heroes of Ukraine.
During the opening ceremony, Oleksandr Traitli, deputy head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, noted that the memorial is intended to be a place to preserve the memory of those who gave their lives for Ukraine’s independence.
“Today we are unveiling a place where the memory of our defenders—both men and women—will live on forever,” said Traitli.
The memorial complex was constructed between 2025 and 2026. More than 6.9 million hryvnias from the local budget were allocated for the project.

Local business owners also contributed to the creation of the Alley—they provided materials and assisted with the construction work.
A separate display case features portraits of four servicemembers from the community who were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.
Similar memorials have already been unveiled in other communities across the Mykolaiv region. In particular, the Kryvoozerska community unveiled an Avenue of Glory in honor of fallen soldiers in March 2025.
