The Novovorontsov community received equipment for a solar power plant from China.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the batteries, control devices, inverters, and backup power panels were delivered by Huawei Ukraine.

"The equipment is intended for the utility company Kommunservice and will be used to install a solar power plant," the administration said.

The new station, according to them, will provide electricity for well pumping equipment, which will help stabilize water supply in the community.

"This assistance is important in the face of power outages, as it will allow residents to receive water without interruption," KHOVA added.

Earlier, the Novovorontsov community received a batch of solar panels to help set up a water supply. Ensuring stable access to water remains one of the priorities for the community. This assistance was made possible by USAID and Chemonics International Inc. in cooperation with the Chortkiv community, Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.

In addition, thanks to the financial support of Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction and the People in Need Foundation, solar power plants are being actively installed in the Velyko Oleksandrivska community in Kherson Oblast . To this end, the Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council has announced a tender for the installation of a solar power plant that will provide a stable energy supply for the local community. The project envisages the purchase and installation of 11 photovoltaic modules with commissioning of 11 artesian wells by the end of April 2025. The expected cost of the project is UAH 5 million 927 thousand 653. The village council signed a contract for these works with the company that offered the highest price.
