The construction of a well has begun in the village of Novopetrivka, which will provide local residents with quality drinking water.

According to the Kherson Regional Water Authority, the project is being implemented with the support of the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service in Ukraine. This is the first well in the village, which will provide access to clean water for 335 villagers.

The local community is grateful to the benefactors for an important initiative that will improve the living conditions of people in the Kherson region.

Recently, solar panels for a reverse osmosis system were installed at the local pump room in Vysokopillya, Kherson Oblast, which will provide stable access to clean drinking water for 2,700 people.

After seven months of active hostilities, the water supply system in the community was severely damaged, and the pump room became the only source of drinking water for residents of Vysokopillya, as well as for residents of the villages of Olzhyne and Novopetrivka, which do not have centralized water supply.

Earlier, the Novovorontsov community received a batch of solar panels to help them set up a water supply. Ensuring stable access to water remains a priority for the community. This assistance was made possible by USAID and Chemonics International Inc. in cooperation with the Chortkiv community, Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.

In addition, thanks to the financial support of Global Emergency Relief, Recovery & Reconstruction and the People in Need Foundation, solar power plants are being actively installed in the Velyko Oleksandrivska community in Kherson Oblast .

To do this, the Velyko Oleksandrivka Village Council announced a tender for the installation of a solar power plant that will provide a stable energy supply for the local community. The project envisaged the purchase and installation of 11 photovoltaic modules with commissioning of 11 artesian wells by the end of April 2025. The expected cost of the project was UAH 5 million 927 thousand 653. The village council signed a contract for these works with the company that offered the highest price.
