Chinese corporation may start construction in annexed Crimea for $10 billion

The terrorist country of Russia plans to build a port and a railroad in the annexed Crimea, particularly in the area of the Kerch port and Lake Donuzlav, with the participation of Chinese companies. The amount of potential investment could reach $10 billion.
This was reported by the Communication Department of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
Ukraine's intelligence officers reported on Russia's plans to involve China in the construction of transport infrastructure in the temporarily occupied Crimea. These are large-scale projects in the territory that Russia illegally annexed in 2014.
According to the SZRU, the head of the occupation administration of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced at a closed meeting preliminary agreements with Chinese business on the construction of several important facilities. In particular, these are:
- Kerch seaport, which Russia actively uses for "gray" exports,
- Infrastructure near Lake Donuzlav, where one of the bases of the Russian Navy is located.
The occupation authorities plan to invite representatives of Chinese companies to Crimea for final negotiations. Among the potential participants is the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the largest engineering and construction corporations in the world, which specializes in the construction of ports, railways, and highways.
It is estimated that the cost of future projects could reach USD 10 billion.
The SZRU views these actions as an attempt by Russia to legalize the infrastructure development of the occupied peninsula and establish export channels to circumvent international sanctions. Ukrainian intelligence calls on the international community to pay attention to attempts to involve foreign companies in illegal activities in the temporarily occupied territory.
Recently, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree imposing sanctions against companies operating in the occupied territories in cooperation with Russia. Among the defendants is Voyage-Crimea LLC, which was re-registered under Russian law after the annexation of the peninsula and has ties to the Ukrainian developer Arricano.
