Four Ukrainians who were taken from the occupied Kherson region to Russia have applied to the European Court of Human Rights

Four Ukrainian citizens who are in the buffer zone on the Georgian border have filed an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights.
Radio Liberty reports on the information of the human rights organization European Prison Litigation Network.
The applicants ask the court to oblige three countries: Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine to take measures to return home all those who are currently on the border.
Before the full-scale invasion, the men were serving their sentences in the Kherson region, and after the occupation were taken to Russia.
There they served their sentences and after their release were taken to the border with Georgia. Thus, there are more than a hundred Ukrainians in the premises of the Dariani border checkpoint.
"By not allowing the applicants to use the only transit route that allows them to enter Ukrainian territory, the Georgian and Moldovan authorities are depriving them of the opportunity to return home to their loved ones, receive the necessary medical care, and appeal to the national and international bodies responsible for investigating the war crimes of which they have been victims. The situation has worsened due to the stricter position of the Georgian authorities (which allows this category of Ukrainian citizens to enter its territory only for transit before departure to Moldova) and the change in the position of the Moldovan authorities, which now refuses to allow transit through its territory for former Ukrainian prisoners deported to Russia," the document says.
The applicants appeal to Rule 39 of the Rules of Procedure to oblige to take urgent measures: Georgia - to provide medical assistance, not to return them to Russia, to provide legal assistance, to provide temporary housing, clothing and food. Moldova - to allow transit through the territory of the republic, Ukraine - to take them home.
It is currently known that 15 people have gone on a hunger strike and are demanding a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian embassy in Georgia.
In a conversation with the Georgian service of Radio Liberty, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia also stated that the Ukrainians on hunger strike have no claims against the Georgian side, and their goal is to return home as soon as possible with the support of the Red Cross and the Ukrainian Embassy.
Commenting on the case of the disappearance and subsequent sudden discovery of the three women in the detention center, Crimean human rights activist, Chairman of the Board of the CTRC Eskender Bariev expressed his opinion on the CTRC website quite unequivocally.
