The representative of the banned 'Bloc of Volodymyr Saldo' in the regional council, Serhiy Sorokunsky Sr. has left the walls of the pre-trial detention center.
This was reported on Facebook by lawyer Mykhailo Velychko, but the post is no longer available.
Judges of the Dniprovsky District Court granted the lawyers' motion and changed the measure of restraint for Serhiy Sorokunsky from custody to bail. Although the amount of money paid remains unknown, as this information was hidden in the published documents, the MP has already left the pre-trial detention center. His children, Serhiy Sorokunsky Jr. and Inna Sorokunska, met him at the jail.

According to the case file, Serhiy Sorokunsky Sr. is suspected of large-scale cooperation with the occupiers. According to the SBU, the MP participated in the 'confiscation' and export of more than 130 tons of Ukrainian sunflower to Russia, and also facilitated the seizure of agricultural machinery from local farmers.
In addition to economic looting, the defendant provided the invaders with housing, food and organized maintenance of their military equipment. For such 'loyalty', the invaders granted him the status of a federal advisor and a special pass.
After the liberation of the Kherson region, Sorokunsky went abroad, but later returned to Ukraine, where he was detained by the special services. During searches of his home and controlled businesses, they found evidence of collaboration with the enemy, including drafts and financial records. Despite the gravity of the charges, the court has now decided to change the measure of restraint to bail, allowing him to leave the pre-trial detention center.
