The Kherson City Court sentenced a local resident, Victoria Troitskaya, who voluntarily cooperated with the Russian invaders during the occupation. Troitskaya headed the 'territorial administration' illegally created by the Russians in the villages of Kozachi Lageri and Krynky in Kherson region.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
While in this position, she not only helped the occupiers to form local personnel to work for the enemy, but also actively encouraged local residents to obtain Russian passports, thus contributing to the strengthening of the occupation regime.
The court also imposed an additional prohibition: the woman will not be able to hold positions in government and state-owned enterprises for 13 years. Since the traitor is a fugitive from justice, the sentence was passed in absentia. She will start serving her sentence from the moment of her actual arrest. The case against the collaborator was investigated by SBU investigators in Kherson region.
The SBU exposed a 40-year-old traitor who collaborated with Russian occupiers during the temporary occupation of Kherson. According to the investigation, the offender took the position of 'junior inspector of the security department's supervision group' in the so-called 'Northern Correctional Colony No. 90', which the occupiers set up in Kherson. In particular, the Russians set up a torture chamber on the basis of the colony.
While holding this position, the defendant served as a guard, controlling the cells in which Ukrainians - members of the resistance movement - were illegally detained. After the de-occupation of the city, the collaborator tried to hide to avoid punishment, but was identified and detained by the SBU right in Kherson.
The offender was served a notice of suspicion under Part 7 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration). He is currently in custody. He faces up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
