Crimean Tatar Teymur Abdullayev, sentenced by a Russian court to 16 years and 6 months in the case of Crimean Muslims, continues to complain of pain and inflammation in his ears, while he is still being held in strict conditions of detention in the Salavata colony in Russian Bashkortostan.
According to Krym.Realii, this was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association. According to them, Teymur Abdullayev had twice suffered from an acute respiratory viral infection, which caused complications and pain in the ears. The Crimean told his wife Alime Abdullayeva that for some time he even lost his hearing. A neighbor in the SUU unit shared some drops with him, but the pain only went away for a while.
"Alime is sure that her husband's health was negatively affected by many years of detention in a punishment cell and in a cell with strict conditions of detention - Abdullayev suffers from regular pain in the stomach, liver, teeth," the statement said.
In addition, Abdullayev suffers from hypertension and headaches. His wife believes that his eyesight is deteriorating as a result.
"In the Urals, the weather changes very quickly - there are sharp jumps, and climate change has a great impact on hypertensive patients. If he didn't know about the glasses on the outside, now he can't live without them," the media quotes Alime Abdullayev as saying.
Also convicted in the so-called " Hizb ut-Tahrir case", 64-year-old political prisoner Servet Gaziyev complained of deteriorating health. His right hand hurts, his coordination is impaired, his fingers do not obey, he cannot hold a pen. In addition, he has had problems with his intestines again. Soon the man is to be transferred from prison to a colony, as reported by the political prisoner's lawyer.
Earlier, Dzhemil Gafarov died in the Novocherkassk pre-trial detention center. For almost 4 years, the Russian occupiers held 60-year-old Dzhemil Gafarov in the FSB prisons, and in January 2023, he was criminally "sentenced" to 13 years in prison in a colony. At the same time, the Supreme Court of Russia upheld the verdict of the court of previous instance against the defendants in the "case of the Crimean Muslims" Servet Gaziev, Alim Karimov, Seyran Murtaza and Erfan Osmanov, who were sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Southern District Military Court of Rostov-on-Don. Only Dzhemil Gafarov's sentence in this case was overturned due to his death in prison.
It is known that the occupiers in prisons are trying to break down the residents of Crimea. In the first 9 months of 2024, Russian security forces placed Crimean political prisoners in punishment cells, special units and solitary confinement at least 16 times. It is noted that, in particular, the following offenses were committed: Server Zekiryayev (3), Server Mustafayev (2), Teymur Abdullayev, Eskender Abdulganiyev (2), Ali Mamutov, Oleg Prykhodko, Seyran Saliyev, Serhiy Tsygipa, Edem Smailov, Marlen Asanov, Rustem Gugurik and Remzi Bekirov.
