The Odesa Regional Council has set the date for its September session

The Odesa Regional Council has convened a regular session. Council members will meet on September 11 to discuss issues related to the budget, land, and municipal property.

This is stated in an order issued by Grigory Didenko, chairman of the Odesa Regional Council .

The session will be held in the council’s session hall at 4 Shevchenko Avenue.

The preliminary agenda includes items regarding the activities of the regional council and its bodies, the budget and finances, targeted programs, urban planning, and land relations.

Deputies will also consider issues regarding jointly owned properties of the region’s territorial communities, the activities and charters of municipal enterprises and institutions, as well as appeals and inquiries from deputies.

Members of the Verkhovna Rada, the leadership of the Odesa Regional State Administration, the prosecutor’s office, the police, and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, the acting mayor, the secretary of the city council, and a representative of the regional ombudsman were invited to the meeting.

The previous session of the Odesa Regional Council took place on June 8.

As previously reported by Intent, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced that they had charged the head of the Odesa Regional Council,Hryhoriy Didenko, and his wife—People’s DeputyYulia Didenko—with providing false information in their asset declarations.

In their annual asset declarations for 2021–2023, the official and the MP failed to declare assets totaling more than 8 million hryvnias.

In addition, based on materials from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), a prosecutor from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit seeking to have the couple’s assets totaling nearly 5 million hryvnias declared unjustified, with the aim of recovering them for the state.
