In Mykolaiv, the deputies will try for the second time to complete the 53rd session of the city council, which has turned into a political confrontation due to the failure of land voting and the lack of deputies in the hall. After the dispute with the mayor, the deputies are to return to the issues that have been blocking the work of the council for several weeks.

This was reported by the press service of the Mykolaiv City Council.

On May 28, at 11:00 a.m., the deputies will reconvene in Mykolaiv to continue the 53rd regular session of the city council, which was previously interrupted due to a lack of votes during the consideration of land issues. Intent has traditionally planned to broadcast the plenary session online.

After the failed votes, a dispute broke out in the session hall between Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych and the deputies over the responsibility of the factions and the work of the council.

The previous session meeting was held on April 30. Despite the fact that the deputies approved current and budgetary issues, the consideration of the land block was actually disrupted - some deputies left the session hall, which made it impossible for the city council to get the required number of votes.

After that, the mayor of Mykolaiv announced a break in the meeting and emotionally criticized the situation, saying that the delay in voting was blocking the completion of the session and complicating the work of the city council. Separately, the mayor said that deputies who do not wish to participate in the work of the council may voluntarily resign.

Mr.Senkevych also expressed his misunderstanding of the fact that some deputies register for the session but do not participate in the voting. At the continuation of the session, the MPs are supposed to return to considering land and other unresolved issues on the agenda.

Then, after several inconclusive votes, the deputies of Mykolaiv City Council decided to amend the procedure for the operation of the household waste sorting complex. The project, which failed to be supported at the two previous sessions, provides for an updated approach to the operation of the future waste sorting complex and a tender to select a waste sorting operator.
