The Mykolaiv City Council failed to consider land issues again due to a lack of votes after some deputies left the session hall. After the disruption of the voting, a discussion broke out between the deputies and the mayor about the responsibility of certain factions and the further work of the city council.
This was reported by Intent.
During the session, the deputies of Mykolaiv City Council managed to consider current issues, but did not complete the agenda. Almost fifty land-related draft decisions remained unexamined because some of the deputies left the meeting early.
Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych proposed combining land issues into one package for a quick vote. At the same time, deputy Fedir Panchenko insisted on separate consideration of several projects. After that, the deputies did not support voting for individual decisions, which further delayed the process.
The mayor reacted emotionally to the situation and said that long voting only blocked the end of the session and hindered the council's effective work. He also expressed his misunderstanding of the fact that some deputies had registered for the session but did not participate in the voting.
After several unsuccessful attempts to adopt a decision, a signal vote was held in the hall, which showed the presence of only 28 deputies.
MP Yevhen Prudnyk said that recently the meetings have been systematically disrupted by representatives of the Sanation parliamentary group. According to him, several members of the group left the room at the same time, and this is not the first time this has happened.
In response, Senkevych reminded that it was the representatives of Sanation who demanded a return to the offline format of the city council. At the same time, according to the mayor, most members of this group hardly ever attended meetings after the transition to the hybrid format.
Separately, the mayor said that deputies who do not wish to participate in the work of the council can voluntarily resign. According to him, in this case, other representatives of party lists who are ready to work on city issues will be able to enter the city council. As a result, the mayor adjourned the city council session.
After several unsuccessful attempts, the deputies also supported a draft decision on changes to the procedure for the operation of the household waste sorting complex.
