An endovascular neurosurgery unit has been opened at the Mykolaiv City Hospital to treat cerebrovascular disorders and other emergency conditions. The project was funded by the city budget.
This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.
Six million hryvnias were allocated for renovations to expand the department’s capacity to accommodate more patients. A washing machine was purchased for 16 million hryvnias. The department also acquired a mobile angiograph, a plasma coagulator, and a sterilizer.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych announced that renovations are planned at several other hospitals in the city.
“This is not the first such project this year, and renovation work is still ahead at several other hospitals in Mykolaiv. I sincerely thank every taxpayer—it is thanks to your contributions that the city is able to modernize its healthcare system. I am also grateful to the city council members for their consistent support of these important initiatives,” said the mayor.
Earlier, it was reported that Primary Health Care Center No. 2had announced a procurement for the routine renovation of six outpatient clinic rooms at 126 Kosmonavtiv Street. The estimated cost of the work is 1,014,170 hryvnias. The project is being funded from the facility’s own budget, which is generated from its operational activities.
