The Mykolaiv City Council has accumulated about 100 new issues that have not yet been reviewed by the relevant committee on ecology and natural resource management.

This was reported by the committee chair, Olena Nesterenko, during the meeting.

Participants discussed the need to hold a separate meeting to review the new submissions, as work on the previous agenda has been delayed.

According to Nesterenko, the committee is still “stuck” on old issues, which is why new submissions are not being considered. She clarified that these are issues from the “New Issues” section, which are published on the website. The committee has already reached June 2026 in its review.

“In other words, we’re once again stuck on old issues. All the new issues are piling up,” said the committee chair.

At first, the deputies worked on the issues in the first appendix. The second section contained 37 issues that the commission had not had time to review earlier. They were re-added to the agenda.

Nesterenko proposed holding a separate meeting to consider the new issues. According to her, this is necessary in order to vote on them. She also noted that there are complaints against the deputies regarding the unconsidered motions.

“Everyone is complaining to us that applications are being submitted, the city council is working, but the deputies aren’t reviewing the issues,” she said.

The committee chair proposed meeting on Tuesday, October 20, at approximately 12:00 p.m. The council members agreed. One of them noted that this coincides with the lunch break, so they would have time to review everything.

Earlier, during the same committee meeting, council members debated the grounds on which a citizen was requesting approval for technical documentation regarding a shopping center near the Central Market.
