In Mykolaiv, officials considered the transfer of the land plot on which the city stadium is located to the communal ownership of the local community.

This came to light during a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council’s Committee on Ecology and Natural Resource Use.

The plot in question covers an area of 12.7334 hectares at 4 Heroes of Ukraine Avenue and is designated for the construction and maintenance of physical culture and sports facilities.

Committee Chair Olena Nesterenko briefly presented the issue to her colleagues, noting that the stadium grounds are finally being transferred to municipal ownership.

“This is a stadium,” she remarked while presenting the draft resolution.

One of the meeting participants asked for clarification on exactly where the plot was being transferred from.

“The National Sports Committee is finally transferring this plot to us,” she said.

The chair confirmed this information and added that there is another sports facility on the site.

“I see. The fencing school,” she said.

The commission members had no questions or objections regarding this item, and the discussion proceeded without debate.

The commission included the decision to grant consent for the transfer of the land plot to municipal ownership in the package of issues approved by a unanimous vote and recommended that it be submitted for consideration at a city council session.

In addition, the committee members considered another draft resolution proposing to lease a 7,528-square-meter land plot on Heroes of Ukraine Avenue toATB-Torgstroy LLC.

According to Nesterenko, this concerns a supermarket that was damaged by shelling.

Also at the committee meeting, the council members did not support a draft resolution to extend the lease of a land plot for a flower shop complex on Spaska Street.
