The Mykolaiv Executive Committee did not approve the proposal to set heating rates for "Mykolaivobltheploenergo" for the next 12 months. The draft resolution did not receive the required number of votes.

This became known during a meeting of the Mykolaiv City Council’s Executive Committee on October 28.

The proposed changes concerned enterprises and budgetary institutions. Heating rates for residents were to remain unchanged.

The draft called for the introduction of two-part tariffs for heat energy and its supply. These would consist of a charge for heat actually consumed and a fixed component related to the maintenance of the heating system.

During the vote, 11 members of the Executive Committee supported the draft resolution, while two abstained. This proved insufficient for its adoption.

Deputy Mayor Yuriy Andrienko announced that the issue would be reconsidered at the next, extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee.

As previously reported by Intent, on October 14, Mykolaiv set the tariff for heat supply services for the city’s Housing and Maintenance Department for the 2026–2027 heating season. The cost of one gigacalorie of heat will be over 3,803 hryvnias, including value-added tax.

And as of October 1,the city’s centralized wastewater disposalrate increased for all categories of consumers. The City Council’s Executive Committee set a new fee per cubic meter for the municipal utility “Mykolaivvodokanal.”
