In Mykolaiv, a company was ordered to pay nearly four million hryvnias for the prolonged use of city-owned land without a properly executed contract. Taking into account the difficult economic situation, the court granted the company a 12-month installment plan to pay off the debt.
This is stated in the ruling of the Commercial Court of Mykolaiv Oblast.
During the court proceedings, the company partially repaid the debt in the amount of 450,000 hryvnias. The firm requested a payment plan, citing the risk of bankruptcy.
According to the case file, a land plot measuring over 10,000 square meters was leased to the company “Amstor” for 15 years in 2012. It was used to service a shopping center. Subsequently, the building changed hands.
Since February 14, 2020, the building has been owned by the company “Inter Connect.” According to the prosecutor’s office, the company used the land but did not formalize the lease agreement and did not pay the rent in full. As a result, a debt balance accumulated over several years.
As previously reported by Intent, the prosecutor’s office in the Mykolaiv regionis seeking a court order to return 61 hectares of land to the community and recover 1.7 million hryvnias from the company. After the lease agreement expired, the company failed to return the plots designated for mineral extraction and continued to use them free of charge.
