In the Mykolaiv region, the prosecutor’s office is seeking a court order to return 61 hectares of land to the community and to collect 1.7 million hryvnias from the company. After the lease agreement expired, the company failed to return the plots designated for mineral extraction and continued to use them free of charge.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The land in question is zoned for industrial use and belongs to the Sinyushynobrid Territorial Community. Law enforcement officials determined that the commercial entity had previously leased this land for mineral extraction. However, after the lease agreement expired, the company refused to return the plots to the community and did not renew its rights to use them.

Despite the lack of permits, the company continued to operate on this territory and stopped paying rent to the local budget. As a result, the Sinyushynobrid community lost out on revenue.

The court proceedings are currently ongoing.

The amount of 1.7 million hryvnias represents approximately 2.5% of the total annual own-source revenue of the Sinyushynobridsk rural territorial community.

The Sinyushynobrid Rural Territorial Community is located in the Pervomaiskyi District of Mykolaiv Oblast, with its administrative center in the village of Sinyushyn Brid. It comprises more than ten settlements with a total population of about 7,600 residents. The local economy is based on the agricultural sector, which encompasses over 34,000 hectares of farmland, as well as industrial subsoil use and the extraction of construction minerals.
