Members of the Koblivka Village Council fear that an easement on 58 sotkas of coastal land will pave the way for stores and cafes, so they decided to review the documents first.

This came to light during a meeting of the Koblivka Village Council’s land commission.

The issue at hand was granting the right to use a portion of the Koblivska community’s land plot, measuring 58 sotok, in the resort village of Koblevo in the Mykolaiv region. To do so, technical documentation defining the boundaries of this portion of land must be approved.

Commission members noted that part of the territory is located within the coastal protection zone. The documents stipulate that the land may be used without major construction projects. However, the wording regarding the placement of recreational infrastructure facilities raised additional questions among the council members.

“This is the beginning of commercial development: stores and cafes will appear,” the committee members emphasized.

They also suggested that temporary structures might appear in this area once the easement is established. In that case, the village council would have to address the issue of their placement separately.

At the same time, committee members noted that they do not have the right to simply refuse to approve the documentation without legal grounds. Therefore, they proposed verifying whether the documents comply with the requirements of the Land Code and urban planning legislation, and preparing a legal opinion.

The issue must still be brought before the session. There, a decision to grant or deny approval will be made, as explained during the discussion.

The commission decided to refer the matter for further consideration. Before doing so, the deputies will compare the submitted documentation with the village council’s previous decision and determine whether any changes or additional restrictions are needed.

They also plan to obtain a legal opinion regarding possible grounds for denial.
