Volodymyr Senyk, a deputy of the Kherson Regional Council from the OPFL party, has terminated his powers ahead of schedule.

This became known following an extraordinary session of the regional council.

The reason for this step was Senyk's appointment to a position in local government. According to the regional council, Mr. Senyk was appointed deputy mayor. According to the current legislation, deputy mayors do not have the right to simultaneously perform deputy duties in regional councils, which was the reason for the resignation.

The deputies supported the decision.

As Intent has already written, Volodymyr Senyk became the acting deputy mayor and head of the housing and communal services department of Pivdenne, Odesa Oblast.

In the spring of 2024, Senyk got a job as deputy director of the Khmelnytskyi Housing and Utility Service in Odesa. Previously, he worked as the head of a trolleybus depot at the Odesmiskelektrotransutilitycompany. In 2017, Senyk worked as a service manager at Khersonelectrotrans.

In 2015, Volodymyr Senyk ran for the Kherson City Council from the Opposition Bloc. In the same year, he was elected to the Dniprovskyi District Council in Kherson from the Opposition Bloc. And in 2020, he was elected to the Kherson district and regional councils from the OPFL.

Earlier, deputies of the Kherson Regional Council of the VIII convocation, Vesna Martynova and Ihor Yosypenko, terminated their powers early. The reason was their voluntary resignation.
