Interim Mayor Igor Koval introduced the new head of the Peresypsk District Administration, Yuriy Kushchenko.
This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.
The new head of the district administration, Yuriy Kushchenko, was born in 1974, holds a university degree, and has extensive business experience. He also worked for the Security Service of Ukraine and underwent lustration in 2014.
In the declaration submitted prior to his appointment, he listed a 118-square-meter apartment in Odesa, non-residential premises measuring 200 and 132 square meters, two parking spaces, as well as a number of expensive Breitling and Patek Philippe watches (three for himself and one for his wife), two cars—a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg and a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS 350 D.
Earlier, Ihor Koval dismissed Serhiy Kondratyuk from his position as head of the Peresypskyi District Administration of Odesa. His position was handed over to his first deputy, Svyatoslav Glazanovsky. Serhiy Kondratyuk had been appointed to the post in July 2018. At the end of August, employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations informed him that the head of the district administration was suspected of abuse of office. In September 2022, prosecutors from the Suvorov District Prosecutor’s Office in Odesa filed an indictment with the court against the head of one of Odesa’s district administrations for abuse of office.
The Suvorov Court of Odesa refused to grant the prosecutor’s motion to remove Serhiy Kondratyuk, the head of the Suvorov District Administration, from office. The judges set bail for Mr. Kondratyuk at 752,400 UAH.
