Mykolaiv educational institutions were provided with generators to ensure uninterrupted operation in the event of a power outage. The cost of the generators is over a million hryvnias.
This was reported by the press service of the Business Support Center.
Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 28 and Gymnasium No. 50 received humanitarian aid in the form of generators that will ensure stable operation of these institutions even during a prolonged power outage.
The fifth generator for educational institutions in Mykolaiv has already been installed in one of the schools. "We are continuing our program to support educational institutions in our city and are grateful to our partners," said Artem Vashchilenko, Head of the Humanitarian Center.
"Each generator has a capacity of 25 kW, which allows us to fully supply large educational institutions with electricity.
The newest generators provide the necessary power supply for shelters and canteens during emergencies, ensuring the smooth functioning of the institution even in the most difficult times. The cost of one generator exceeds half a million hryvnias.
The organizers plan to donate additional generators to other educational institutions in the city. Earlier, the Rotary community has already donated generators to lyceums #22, #55 and kindergarten #5 in Mykolaiv.
Recently, as part of international cooperation, the Pervomaisk community received generators, mobile boilers and energy saving systems. This equipment will help develop alternative energy sources and improve the energy security of social facilities. One of Mykolaiv's kindergartens also received a new generator. It will ensure reliable power supply even during long power outages.
In early October, Mykolaiv region received 43 powerful generators from the European Union as part of humanitarian aid to cover the autumn and winter period of 2024-2025. The equipment was handed over to educational, social, healthcare, sports and critical infrastructure facilities.
