The Ministry of Education has identified 38 schools in Odesa region to receive money from the UN

The Ministry of Education and Science has additionally identified educational institutions that will receive financial assistance from the United Nations in December.
This was announced by the head of the Department of Education and Science of the Odesa Regional State Administration , Oleksandr Lonchak.
According to him, the list includes 38 schools from Mayakivska, Velykodolynska, Ananivska, Lymanska settlement, Shabivska, Vilkivska, Lyubashivska, Bilyaivska, Bolhradska, Podilska, Saratska, Tatarbunarska, Chornomorsk city, Berezivka, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Reni, Oknyanskyi, Artsyzka, Baltskyi, Izmailskyi, Kiliyskyi, Rozdilnyanskyi, Kuyalnytsia, Safianivskyi and Odesa city territorial communities of Odesa region.
The funds in the amount of UAH 290.5 thousand will be used for:
- heating and insulation of premises
- replacement of windows and doors;
- purchase, installation and repair of electric and heat generating equipment
- repair of engineering networks (water, heating, electrical, ventilation, sewerage);
- transportation and storage of purchased equipment, spare parts, materials and fuel.
In addition, part of these funds, namely UAH 83 thousand, can be used to repair and modernize school canteens as part of the school catering reform. Mr. Lonchak noted that the schools that were considered were those that provide full-time or mixed format education, have at least 200 students and at least 50 students from among the internally displaced persons. There must also be a shelter.
Meanwhile, MPs from the Commission on Education, Sports and Cooperation with Public Organizations agreed to increase spending on repairs to educational institutions affected by Russian shelling.
