There are 170 millionaires in Mykolaiv region

Mykolaiv region has summarized the first results of the 2025 income declaration campaign. In three months, residents of the region have declared almost UAH 866 million in income, and the number of millionaires has increased significantly.
This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv region.
Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has been running an annual campaign to declare the income of citizens received in 2025. The interim results have already been summarized in Mykolaiv region: as of April 1, 1182 declarations of property and income have been filed. The total amount of declared funds reached almost UAH 866 million.
According to Valeriy Politil, head of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv region, the declaration results have already resulted in UAH 11.7 million of personal income tax and UAH 9.1 million of military duty being paid to the budget.
The tax authorities pay special attention to the growing number of citizens with million-dollar incomes. This year, there are 172 such individuals, which is 65 more than last year. They declared a total of UAH 604 million in income. Most often, these funds were received from foreign sources or from the sale of movable and immovable property.
Certain categories of income also demonstrate the activity of citizens. Thus, 119 people declared income from real estate rental in the amount of UAH 7.7 million.
Another 59 residents of the region reported foreign income worth UAH 15.1 million. At the same time, 476 citizens filed tax returns to receive a tax rebate, which is to be refunded in the amount of UAH 2.9 million in personal income tax.
In Mykolaiv, law enforcement officers recently uncovered a tax evasion scheme involving grain exports, a network of offices in different cities, and accounting abroad. According to the case, in 2021-2024, the company received more than UAH 82 million from exports, but did not file an income tax return.
