In the Odesa region, finance professionals earned four times as much as educators

The average salary for full-time employees in the Odesa region for January–July 2026 was over 24,000 hryvnias. Employees in the financial and insurance sectors, as well as in information and telecommunications, earned the most, while those in the arts, sports, and recreation sectors earned the least.
This is according to data from the Main Department of Statistics in the Odesa region.
According to the department, the average monthly salary for full-time employees in the region for the first seven months of 2026 was 24,286 hryvnias.
The figure rose gradually throughout the year: in January, the average salary was 22,369 hryvnias, in February—22,703 UAH, in March—23,053 UAH, in April—23,364 UAH, in May—23,635 UAH, in June—24,031 UAH, and in July it reached 24,286 UAH.
The highest average salaries for January through July were recorded in the financial and insurance sectors—59,456 UAH. In the information and telecommunications sector, employees earned an average salary of 55,419 UAH, while in public administration and defense, the average was 32,539 UAH.
The average salary in the electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector exceeded 29,000 hryvnias—29,728 UAH. In transportation, warehousing, postal, and courier services, it was 29,651 UAH.
In manufacturing, the average salary was 25,737 UAH; in professional, scientific, and technical activities—27,312 UAH; and in retail—21,537 UAH.
The lowest figures were recorded in the arts, sports, entertainment, and recreation sectors—14,803 UAH; in education—18,108 UAH; and in water supply and waste management—19,129 UAH.
At the same time, the number of full-time employees in the region remained close to 315,000 throughout the year.
The largest number of employees was in manufacturing—42,829; transportation—50,165; trade—36,655; and health care and social assistance—42,142 people.
In the construction sector, the average salary for full-time employees is 18,610 hryvnias. The region ranked among the top four in Ukraine in terms of the volume of new housing units commissioned.
