Intensive pothole repair work has begun on the main logistics arteries of Odesa Oblast. Road workers are taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to quickly put the roads back in order after the winter period.
According to the Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service in Odesa region, the work is being carried out exclusively within the framework of operational maintenance. The main goal is to ensure traffic safety on the roads with the highest traffic volume.
Where is the equipment already working?
Currently, repair teams are focused on the following areas:
- M-05 Kyiv - Odesa;
- M-15 Odesa - Reni (strategic direction to Bucharest);
- M-27 Odesa - Chornomorsk;
- M-28 Odesa - Yuzhny;
- H-33 Odesa - Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi - Monashi.
Expanding the geometry of the works
Starting tomorrow, March 5, the list of roads to be repaired will be expanded to include two more important sections:
- M-14 Odesa - Melitopol - Novoazovsk;
- P-72 Starokozache checkpoint - Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi.
Road workers emphasize that keeping the roads in good condition after the winter is critical for the region's uninterrupted logistics. Drivers are asked to be careful in the areas of work, pay attention to special signs and observe the speed limit.
Earlier, Intent wrote that in Odesa region, three defendants in a case of fraudulent road repairs were released from criminal liability. The scheme involved forgery of documents and tax evasion during tenders for road repairs and maintenance in three regions.
In addition, the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine entered into an agreement with Avtomagistral-Pivden LLC for the overhaul of the highway section from Lviv to Rava-Ruska for the amount of UAH 459 million 330 thousand.
