The state budget for 2025 has been adopted

On Tuesday, November 19, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the state budget for 2025.

According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, all taxes of citizens and businesses next year will be directed to the defense and security of our country.

"The total resource that will be allocated to the security and defense sector will amount to UAH 2.23 trillion," the Prime Minister said.

According to Shmyhal, record funds will be allocated for the production and purchase of weapons, for which UAH 739 billion has been provided. There will be more funding for the modernization of our defense industry, as well as for the purchase of drones.

"Expenditures on education will amount to almost 199 billion hryvnias, and on healthcare - 217 billion hryvnias. Important modernization and development projects are planned in both areas. UAH 10.7 billion is allocated to upgrade medical facilities, purchase modern equipment, and create rehabilitation centers. An additional UAH 17.5 billion is provided for the modernization of educational institutions and the construction of shelters," the statement said.

At the same time, according to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, next year they are still waiting for external financing of 38.4 billion US dollars," the MP wrote.

Zheleznyak also said that 1.5 billion hryvnias were allocated for the telethon.

Earlier, the Government approved the draft State Budget for 2025, which provides for significant investments in the production of weapons and military equipment - more than UAH 55 billion. The Cabinet of Ministers also regulated the procedure for registration and re-registration of vehicles imported as humanitarian aid.

A meeting on the mobilization of heavy vehicles was held in Odesa region. The main focus was on proposals from the military to additionally engage trucks that violate transportation and road rules to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
