The social needs of Mykolaiv region were covered with UAH 10 billion of the single contribution. This is almost nine hundred million more than last year.

This was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service in Mykolaiv region.

In the period from January to September 2024, Mykolaiv region collected UAH 10.4 billion in single social security contributions. This is 9.4% more than in the same period in 2023, which is an additional UAH 891.9 million.

The press service emphasized that if employers do not pay a single contribution, their employees lose their insurance record, which will affect the possibility of receiving an old-age or disability pension. Pensions are paid only from officially accrued wages.

If an employer does not pay contributions by paying salaries "in envelopes", this means that periods for which contributions are not accrued are not included in the employee's insurance record and do not affect the amount of his or her pension.

In January-September 2024, the local budgets of Mykolaiv region received UAH 21.7 million in fees for licenses for the production of cognac and alcoholic beverages, fees for licenses for the right to wholesale and retail trade in alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, liquids used in electronic cigarettes, and fuel.

In the period from January to August 2024, the State Tax Service of Mykolaiv region generated UAH 14.2 billion in revenues to budgets of various levels. The main state budget revenue is personal income tax, which accounts for 61% of total revenues.

In early October, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed in the second reading the draft law No. 11416-d, which provides for an increase in taxes. Almost all MPs from Mykolaiv region expressed support for this decision.

Among other things, it is planned to increase the military tax rate from 1.5% to 5%. The draft also proposes to set the corporate income tax rate for non-bank financial institutions at 25%. The document retains monthly advance payments of income tax for fuel retailers.
