Mykolaiv plans to spend 11 million on road repairs

Mykolaiv plans to repair the road for more than eleven million budget hryvnias. The bidders must secure their bids.

This was reported by the Center for Public Investigations, citing data from the Prozorro public procurement system.

The Department of Housing and Communal Services has announced a tender for the current repair of the road at 3 Slobidska Street from Central Avenue to 68 Desantnykiv Street.

The auction is scheduled for August 29.

The expected cost is UAH 11 million 311 thousand 920. The minimum price reduction step is UAH 113,119.

The tender offer must be secured by a bank guarantee in the amount of UAH 200 thousand. The performance security is non-refundable in case of breach of contract by the contractor. Payment for the services will be made by the customer within twenty banking days.

The contractor is to carry out the current repair of 7219 square meters of the road. All works are to be completed by December 20, 2024.

According to the terms of reference, the contractor is to remove the old asphalt using special equipment, dismantle the curbs and install new ones, install manholes, stabilize the soil base, pour binders, install concrete slabs and arrange hot asphalt concrete pavement.

Mykolaivvodokanal is also looking for a contractor to repair the sidewalks after they have been torn up on the city's streets. The company is ready to spend more than a million hryvnias for all the works.

According to the tender documentation, the project involves the restoration of sidewalks made of small-sized figured elements after repairs to water supply and sewerage networks in four districts of the city. The project does not specify where exactly the repairs are to be made.

At the end of July, Mykolaiv awarded a contract for road repairs worth almost UAH 1.8 million to a single bidder. The work will be performed by the company of Mykolaiv regional deputy Serhiy Shulhach. In addition to CF Sovar Group, he and his wife have founded a number of other companies that also receive public contracts.
