Specialists of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Southwestern District have accused the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi City Council of violations in the field of waste management resulting from the destruction of buildings as a result of armed aggression.
This was reported by the press service of the inspection.
They emphasized that the waste was generated after a missile attack on school No. 1 in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi on June 23, which killed three teachers and injured 12 other people, three of them in critical condition.

"Representatives of the municipal enterprise MC Blagoustriy, which is subordinated to Deputy Mayor Andriy Kryshtopov, were removing the rubble of the destroyed school and dumping it on the territory of the pier No. 1 "Rybatsky Krai". This is the territory of the water fund and the protection zone of the archaeological monument - the Akkerman fortress, which is less than 70 meters away," the inspectorate emphasized.
They also noted that all the waste is not ordinary construction waste. Among them:
- fragments of missile weapons;
- remnants of rocket fuel;
- burnt school property, textbooks, and furniture.
"All this was used as a filling for commercial use of the territory - without permits, without observing environmental rules, contrary to ethical and legal norms," the inspectorate insists.

The Inspectorate noted that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for handling waste generated as a result of hostilities, destruction and terrorist attacks back in 2022. The Inspectorate recorded the facts of violations and drew up reports on administrative offenses under Article 52 of the Code of Administrative Offenses against employees of Blahoustrii. Further response measures are currently being decided regarding this violation of environmental legislation.
