A solo exhibition by Sergei Roslyakov, director of the art museum, titled “Where Are You Going, Mykolaiv? Quo vadis” has opened in Mykolaiv. The exhibition, featuring approximately 40 works, invites visitors to reflect on the future and new directions for the city’s development.

This was reported by the Vereshchagin Mykolaiv Regional Art Museum.

The exhibition serves as a unique artistic exploration of time, the city, and human choice. The title “Where Are You Going, Mykolaiv? Quo vadis” becomes the central question of the exhibition and an invitation to reflect on the city’s future. The artist aims to engage local residents in thinking about the path Mykolaiv will choose and how it will develop further amid changing economic and social circumstances.

Earlierat the PORT festival, Orisa Demska assessed the chances of Odesa regaining its linguistic multiculturalism. The linguist identified a single languageas a key security issue during wartime. She noted that during wartime, warnings of danger must be understandable to everyone. According to her, it is impossible to warn of a threat in thousands of languages. Therefore, there must be a common language.

Earlier in Odesa, the winners of the annual municipal award“Cultural Capital —2026” were announced. This year, ten local artists received awards, including theater and ballet performers, photographers, and musicians.
