In the Mykolaiv region, an educator was arrested for taking a bribe at a Ministry of Internal Affairs service center

In the Mykolaiv region, the head of an educational and sports facility was detained while accepting a bribe. In exchange for the money, he promised to influence officials at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ regional service center to ensure that the applicant would pass the driver’s license exam.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The director of the Novobuzh Educational and Sports Facility has been served with a notice of suspicion.

According to the investigation, the suspect offered a citizen 21,000 hryvnias to help her pass the theoretical portion of the exam to obtain a Category “B” driver’s license. He subsequently planned to influence officials at the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ service center.

As previously reported by Intent, law enforcement officers in Odesa detained the head of a workshop at one of the colleges, who is suspected of organizing a scheme to evade mobilization through fictitious enrollment. The official was arrested while receiving 1,500 U.S. dollars.

On September 2, a woman was detained in Odesa who, for 5,000 U.S. dollars, promised a man she would remove him from the TSK’s wanted list, help him get assigned to a military unit, and avoid service in areas of active combat operations.

Earlier, prosecutors announced that they had notified an official at one of Odesa’s vocational colleges —who was responsible for student affairs—that he was under suspicion. He is suspected of extorting and receiving an unlawful benefit in exchange for influencing the admissions committee’s decision regarding an applicant’s enrollment.
