Former Deputy Director of the Novaya Kakhovka Vocational School Placed on the Wanted List for Working in Russia

The court imposed a preventive measure on Gennady Ivantsov, the former deputy director of the Novokakhovka Higher Vocational School. According to the investigation, after the city was occupied, he headed the institution established by the Russians and facilitated the transition of the education system to Russian standards.

The Center for Public Investigations has uncovered details of the case.

According to investigators, Ivantsov headed the Russian-established “Novokakhovka Technical College.”

Prior to the occupation, he served as the college’s deputy director for administrative and logistical affairs.

Investigators believe that in his new position, he organized instruction based on Russian curricula, used Russian textbooks and documentation, and was involved in recruiting staff and students. He is also accused of facilitating the transfer of the Ukrainian college’s property and official vehicle to the occupation administration.

According to the case file, the college’s employees were paid in rubles, and the academic and administrative processes were switched to Russian. The college also hosted events featuring Russian propaganda themes.

After the occupiers seized Nova Kakhovka, 34 out of 120 college employees agreed to cooperate with the Russians. Among those who defected to the enemy were technical staff, instructors, and vocational training instructors. At the same time, a significant portion of the institution’s main equipment was successfully evacuated to territory controlled by Ukraine.

Ivantsov had long served as the head of the “M.K. Peremohy 23” and “Strizhi” condominium associations in Nova Kakhovka. He also worked for the city’s municipal utilities and was responsible for administrative and operational matters.

Also in August, a forester from the Kherson region voluntarily began working for an enterprise established by the invaders during the occupation. Subsequently, he not only assisted the occupiers but also publicly supported Russian propaganda.
