At the Port of Pivdennyi, armed men seized control of the terminal

On the morning of September 29, about 50 armed men wearing balaclavas entered the premises of the “Borivazh” terminal at the Port of Pivdennyi in the Odesa region and took control of it. They blocked access to the facility.

This was reported by “Ekonomichna Pravda.”

“At around 7:00 a.m. on September 29, a group of unknown individuals arrived at the maritime transshipment and storage complex (MTSC) in the Odesa region, forcibly occupied the premises, and established de facto control over the facility,” the report states.

According to law enforcement officials, representatives of the security company “Sapsan” may have been involved in the takeover of the territory. Seven security guards were escorted off the complex’s premises. Some of them sought medical attention to document their injuries.

Lawyers for “Terminal Borivazh” LLC filed a criminal complaint with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odesa region.

The maritime transshipment and storage complex is linked to the former owners of PrivatBank, Ihor Kolomoyskyi and Hennadiy Boholyubov.

Ownership of the terminal is being contested in court. In particular, the legality of transferring the asset to the authorized capital of “Agroterminal Logistic” LLC is under review.

In the fall of 2025, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported that the seizure of the “Borivazh” grain terminal remains in effect, and the issue of transferring it to ARMA’s management is being considered in court.

The terminal was pledged as collateral to the National Bank. According to the prosecutor’s office, in 2016, officials from Borivazh LLC, Agroterminal Logistic LLC, and PrivatBank may have unlawfully disposed of the pledged property.

On February 21, 2025, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv seized the property and prohibited its disposal. On October 31, the court allowed the terminal to be used but maintained the ban on its sale or transfer.

Previously, ARMA had begun consultations to find a manager for the complex owned by “Agroterminal Logistic” LLC. The agency also took over management of this company’s real estate.

The transfer of the asset is related to an investigation into possible illegal actions by representatives of several companies, including PrivatBank.
