A TCC servicemember pleaded guilty to torturing and abducting a civilian in Odesa

A servicemember of the Territorial Recruitment Center fully admitted his guilt in the unlawful detention and torture of a civilian man during mobilization activities in Odesa. Based on a plea agreement, the court sentenced the offender to seven years in prison and barred him from holding positions in military recruitment agencies.

This is stated in the verdict of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa. 

The incident occurred on May 2, 2026, in Odesa. A group of TCC employees, without police involvement, unlawfully detained a local resident. Using tear gas and physical force, they forcibly shoved the man into a service vehicle. During transport to the military registration and enlistment office, the victim was beaten, humiliated, and subjected to psychological pressure, causing him severe physical and emotional suffering.

Alexander Solodukhin has been in custody since June 12, 2026. In court, he fully admitted his guilt in torture and unlawful deprivation of liberty, sincerely repented, and cooperated with the investigation. On this basis, the prosecutor, the victim, and the defense entered into a plea agreement.

The court emphasized that military personnel of the Territorial Recruitment Center do not have the authority to detain citizens on their own or to use coercion without police officers present. 

Earlier, the Odesa Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) responded to reports that a servicemember from one of the district territorial recruitment and social support centers had been detained by SBU officers. The agency assured that it was providing full cooperation to the investigative authorities to establish all the circumstances of the case.
