A resident of Henichesk, who, according to the investigation, worked in the passport and visa service of the occupying police, is suspected of collaboration. The court authorized a special pretrial investigation into her case in her absence.

This is stated in a ruling by the Central District Court of Mykolaiv dated October 28, 2026.

According to the investigation, in July 2022, the woman voluntarily agreed to work in the passport and visa service of the Henichesk District Police Department, which had been established by the occupying authorities. She assumed the position of acting specialist.

Subsequently, no later than August 2024, the suspect became the head of the migration division of the so-called “Genichesk Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.”

Investigators believe that the woman held positions in an illegal law enforcement agency established in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. She was notified of the charges against her under Part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The penalty under this article provides for 12 to 15 years of imprisonment, with or without the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of 10 to 15 years, as well as the confiscation of property or without it.
