Law enforcers detained three people who tried to disrupt mobilization in Mykolaiv region via messengers. They face up to 8 years in prison.
This was reported by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv region.
The Security Service of Ukraine has identified three people in Mykolaiv region who, through Viber and Telegram channels, carried out information and subversive activities aimed at preventing mobilization and harming the Armed Forces.
The defendants in the case are residents of Pervomaiskyi district: two drivers of municipal and private enterprises and one unemployed woman. They recorded the routes of movement of law enforcement officers and the military, and then transmitted this data in online chats, which was useful for people who sought to evade service.
During the searches, law enforcement officers seized cell phones with evidence of their illegal activities.
SBU investigators served the suspects suspicion notices for obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which provides for up to eight years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officers are checking the possible involvement of other members of these online communities.
Recently, officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police detained agents of the Russian special services who were preparing a terrorist attack in Mykolaiv on February 14 this year on the instructions of the Kremlin. All the necessary evidence has been collected, and their connection with the enemy has been fully documented.
The SBU CI also detained an FSB agent in Mykolaiv who was adjusting the air strikes of Russian troops on the city. The offender, a 35-year-old recidivist, was recruited while serving a sentence in a Russian penal colony and worked for the enemy in Ukraine.
Last December, the SBU military counterintelligence neutralized a large GRU agent network. During the special operation, 12 Russian agents and their informants were identified, who were recruited by the group's leader to cooperate in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
