In Mykolaiv region, the court punished the director who claimed that "Russia is here forever"

In the Mykolaiv region, the director of a farm received a five-year sentence for collaboration during the temporary occupation of the village of Yelyzavetivka in the Snihuriv community. He claimed that Russia was here forever."
This is stated in the verdict of the Snihuriv District Court.
According to the investigation, in March 2022, the man, being the director of the Lena farm, voluntarily handed over his business premises and land plots to the Russian military. The occupiers used them to deploy personnel, store equipment and stolen property of local farmers.
In addition, he supplied the invaders with food, which allowed him to receive privileges and move freely in the village.
The man carried out his actions throughout the occupation - until November 2022, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the territory.
Witnesses confirmed that the defendant actively cooperated with the Russian military, provided them with food, transported their property together, and stated that "Russia is here forever." On his territory, law enforcement officers found machinery, equipment and a large number of barrels of tomato paste that had been stolen from local businesses.
The court found the man guilty under Part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and sentenced him to 5 years in prison with confiscation of all property and a ban on economic activity for 15 years.
The verdict was passed in the absence of the defendant, who did not appear in court, although he was duly notified.
The sentence will start from the moment of his detention.
It should be added that Snihurivka in Mykolaiv region was occupied by Russian troops on March 19, 2022, and was under their control for more than seven months.
Strict restrictions on movement were imposed in the city, searches were conducted, vehicles were seized, and people suspected of having ties to the Armed Forces or terrorist organizations were persecuted. Local residents reported torture and violence, and after the release, the bodies of 27 people were found with signs of violent death.
In the fall of 2023, the Center for Public Investigations released a film "Who Kidnapped the Prisoners of the Snihuriv Correctional Colony in the Village of Central."
