Head of maritime security stole ships from Kherson port and built a crossing for the occupiers

The court punished the collaborator, who worked at the Kherson seaport and built a pontoon crossing of the Dnipro River for the Russians. He was sentenced to imprisonment and confiscation of all his property.
This was reported by IRS-Pivden with reference to the court verdict.
41-year-old Oleksandr Parkhomyuk, a resident of the village of Brylivka, Vynohradiv community, Kherson region, was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison for aiding the aggressor state.
During the temporary occupation of Kherson, he assisted the Russian military: in particular, he was involved in the construction of a pontoon crossing of the Dnipro River near the destroyed Antonivskyi Bridge and held the position of Deputy Director of Security at the Kherson Commercial Sea Port, illegally established by the occupiers.
According to the investigation, in the summer of 2022, Parkhomyuk voluntarily cooperated with the occupiers. Before the full-scale invasion, he worked as the head of the maritime security service of the Kherson branch of the state enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority", and after the city was seized, he agreed to head the security department at the fake port enterprise created by the invaders.
He controlled access to the port territory, including for the Russian military and their equipment. In addition, he handed over video surveillance systems for the port and the adjacent waters of the Dnipro to the occupiers, as well as recruited people to work in this pseudo-port and interviewed them.
Parkhomyuk was also responsible for logistics - he organized the delivery of equipment and metal needed to repair barges and managed the repairs themselves. According to one of the witnesses in court, it was during this period that the Russians moved the seized boats from the Kherson port to Hola Prystan.
The Kherson City Court found Parkhomuk guilty of aiding the enemy (Part 1 of Article 111-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him in absentia to 12 years in prison. In addition, all of his property, including a Toyota Camry 3456, will be confiscated, and he will be banned from holding any public office for 15 years. The sentence has not yet entered into force.
Law enforcement officers also charged Tetiana Asenchuk with treason for her work at the illegally created Kherson Commercial Sea Port and for facilitating the seizure of property by the occupiers. She faces up to 12 years in prison for this.
In addition, the court found 55-year-old Andriy Kharytonov, the former director of the seized port, guilty of collaboration. Several other criminal proceedings have been opened against him, including the illegal export of 3,000 tons of barley in early 2023 and fraud with the company's property.
