A Ukrainian citizen worked at the illegally created Kherson Commercial Sea Port and helped the occupiers seize property. She was accused of treason, which could result in 12 years in prison.

This is stated in the suspicion of the Prosecutor General's Office.

In June 2022, representatives of the Russian occupation administration illegally created the so-called state unitary enterprise Kherson Commercial Sea Port on the basis of the Ukrainian state enterprise Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority. Andriy Kharytonov was appointed its director. One of his deputies was a Ukrainian citizen, Tatyana Asenchuk.

According to the investigation, between June and November 2022, Asenchuk worked for the occupation authorities in the temporarily occupied Kherson. She held the position of deputy director for finance and economics in an illegally created enterprise, performed managerial functions, conducted financial and economic activities, and participated in the preparation of contracts, including for the supply of goods and maintenance of port infrastructure.

Tatyana Asenchuk also participated in the process of inventorying the seized property of a number of Ukrainian enterprises, including Anchor-Agro LLC, Dnipro Terminal PJSC, Turkura LLC, and South Ukrainian Maritime Company LLC. In addition, she helped to adapt the charters of the companies to the requirements of the occupation administration to legalize the management of the seized property.

In February 2024, Tetyana Yasenchuk was notified of suspicion of collaboration. She participated in the organization of a pseudo-referendum on the accession of Kherson region to the Russian Federation, becoming a member of the precinct commission No. 102 in the Suvorov district of Kherson.

According to the investigation, Asenchuk contributed to the functioning of the Russian occupation administration and the implementation of its decisions. The pre-trial investigation established that she deliberately cooperated with the occupiers, recognizing the legitimacy of their power.

Based on these facts, Tatiana Asenchuk was charged with high treason under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Her case has already been submitted to court.

Also in May, 55-year-old Andriy Kharytonov, who headed the Kherson port seized by the occupiers, was convicted of collaboration. He helped the Russians seize the Kherson Bakery Plant, where he stated that the company was operating under the control of the invaders.

Kharytonov was appointed director of the fake Kherson Commercial Sea Port in September 2022 on the order of collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, but later a conflict broke out between them and he was fired. The court sentenced Kharytonov to nine years in prison with confiscation of property.
