Millions for flowers and benches: how and what Odesa's Miskzelentrest spent money on

Odesa's Miskzelentrest spent tens of millions of hryvnias over the course of the year on city improvements, from flowers, trees and benches to repairing the rotunda and purchasing equipment. The most expensive purchases were fuel, saplings, and the arrangement of a playground with accessibility for children with disabilities.
Intent analyzed the largest procurements of the enterprise through the Zakupivli.pro platform. It is worth noting that the analysis is based on the expected value of procurement, as the initial price may decrease during auctions.
The year began with the purchase of water supply and sewerage services for about UAH 4.5 million. The company planned to spend another seven hundred thousand for the transportation of passengers by city electric transport. In February, Miskzelentrest ordered solid waste removal for UAH 2.4 million and purchased fuel and lubricants for more than UAH 5 million. Traffic cones and signs cost over one hundred and thirty thousand, and waste disposal services cost another five hundred and fifty thousand.
In the same month, the company spent 3 million on perennial tree seedlings and more than four hundred and thirty-four thousand on flower products. In March, the company purchased brooms and broomsticks worth more than eighty-five thousand hryvnias and allocated 2.5 million hryvnias for the maintenance of automatic irrigation systems. More than UAH 4 million was allocated for flowers for urban landscaping, and about three hundred and forty thousand for the maintenance of garden benches.
The company was ready to pay almost 2 million hryvnias to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather - to remove damaged trees and branches. Garbage bags of various sizes cost more than three hundred thousand, and paints for household work cost four hundred and sixty thousand.
In April, Miskzelentrest repaired the rotunda on Krymsky Boulevard (over two hundred thousand hryvnias) and decorative elements in the City Garden (approximately two hundred and eighty thousand). Almost eight hundred thousand hryvnias were allocated for component parts for equipment repair, and 2.5 million hryvnias for small mechanization. Additionally, they purchased tools worth one hundred thousand, batteries worth two hundred and seventy-seven thousand, and tires worth over nine hundred thousand.
In May, the utility spent 1 million hryvnias to treat chestnuts for pests and more than 4 million to overhaul a playground adapted for children with disabilities. Another one hundred and nine thousand was spent on repairing the playground in Starostin Park. Metal structures for landscaping cost more than two hundred thousand, arches for flowers cost one hundred and seventy-five thousand, and overalls for employees cost about eight hundred thousand.
In July, the company ordered the preparation of technical documentation for land plots (approximately three hundred thousand hryvnias) and purchased gasoline worth 5.6 million hryvnias. We also bought flowers for two hundred and forty-three thousand. In August, we purchased peat substrate for over six hundred thousand hryvnias.
October was marked by the order of project documentation for the installation of a fire alarm system, which cost almost seventy-two thousand hryvnias. The month ended with the purchase of a hydraulic wood splitter for two hundred and forty-three thousand.
In total, over the year, Miskzelentrest of Odesa concluded major deals worth more than UAH 45 million. The company purchased everything from flowers and saplings to machinery and repairs of municipal facilities,
Also in 2025, Odesa utility company ServiceCenter spent more than UAH 175 million on the most expensive purchases. The main expenditures were made for the repair of shelters, urban landscaping and the arrangement of public toilets. The company spent about UAH 143 million on civil defense facilities alone.
