More than sports

The main topic of the week, without exaggeration, was the scandalous meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump and J.D. Vance at the White House. Athletes did not stand aside, and here are some of the reactions of Ukrainians to the boorish behavior of the White House hosts.

We must unite, we must help each other for the sake of the country we love. Trump has just started, and he has already made many decisions that really harm Ukrainians. I am just very sad for all the innocent people.

You don't have to wear a suit to be the most respected person in the room. I am proud of my President. I am proud to be a Ukrainian. Glory to Ukraine!

Guess who I would have gladly kicked out at yesterday's negotiations? And of course, I would have even put on a suit for this purpose

Oleksandr Usyk did not comment on the talks themselves, but he did talk about the belt that Zelensky was going to give Trump. According to the Ukrainian boxer, all his belts are at his home. Zelensky took a special belt to the White House. Oleksandr decided not to explain in detail.

We wish you and your favorite athletes and teams good luck next week!
