Zelenskyy established an MBA program in South Ukraine and appointed Kukhta

The Southern Ukrainian City Military Administration has been established in the Mykolaiv region. It is headed by Ivan Kukhta, the former head of the Snigurivka City Military Administration.

This is stated in a decree and order issued by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to Presidential Decree No. 573/2026 of July 2, 2026, the Southern Ukrainian City Military Administration of the Voznesensk District in the Mykolaiv region has been established.

The document also instructs the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration to carry out measures related to the establishment of the new military administration in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On the Legal Regime of Martial Law.”

At the same time, Presidential Order No. 78/2026-rp appointed Ivan Vasylovych Kukhta as head of the South Ukrainian City Military Administration .

The decree and the presidential order took effect on the day of their publication.

Earlier, Intent reported that a military administration might be introduced in South Ukraine due to the city council’s prolonged inability to hold sessions and make decisions important to the community.

Ivan Kukhta has headed the Snigurivka City Military Administration since 2022, following the de-occupation of Snigurivka. Prior to that, he served as head of the Snigurivka District State Administration, was a deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council during its 7th and 8th terms, and in 2019 ran for the Verkhovna Rada as a candidate for the Agrarian Party of Ukraine but was not elected.

Intent analyzed Kukhta’s financial disclosure statement and found that he owns several plots of land, shares in several companies, cars, and a significant amount of cash.

Previously, in hisdeclaration, the official reported a salary of 212,441 hryvnias, as well as income from two companies, one of which is engaged in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.
