Village council deputy from Mykolaiv region concealed 4 million in declarations

A deputy of the Domanivsky district of Mykolaiv region was served a notice of suspicion of declaring false information (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

The investigation established that the official knowingly and intentionally entered false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform local government functions during 2023-2024. The declaration did not contain information on the value of movable and immovable property worth more than UAH 4 million. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Specialized Investigation Department of the Voznesenkyi Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

The official faces a fine of up to UAH 102,000, or up to two hundred and forty hours of community service, or up to two years of imprisonment, with disqualification to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.

Earlier, the former head of Mykolaiv District Council, Hanna Koverznyeva, purchased a Honda HR-V for UAH 525,000 last year. According to the document, Koverzneva still owns a 51.2-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv purchased in 2007 for UAH 126.2 thousand and a 31.5-square-meter garage purchased in 2021 for UAH 53.4 thousand. However, two land plots of 8.3 and 4.5 are no longer mentioned in the declaration. According to the document, in March 2025, Koverzneva donated this property. It is not specified to whom.

In addition to her salary, the ex-official indicated a national cashback of UAH 459 and income from the sale of a car - UAH 294 thousand. By the way, Koverzniieva bought a Chevrolet Aveo in 2007 for 63.7 thousand hryvnias. Her new car, a Honda HR-V, cost 525 thousand hryvnias.
