Former head of Mykolaiv district council bought a car for half a million

The former head of Mykolaiv District Council, Anna Koverznyeva, bought a Honda HR-V for UAH 525,000 last year.

This is stated in her declaration for 2025.

According to the document, Koverzneva still owns a 51.2-square-meter apartment in Mykolaiv purchased in 2007 for UAH 126.2 thousand and a 31.5-square-meter garage purchased in 2021 for UAH 53.4 thousand. However, two land plots of 8.3 and 4.5 are no longer mentioned in the declaration. According to the document, in March 2025, Koverzneva donated this property. It is not specified to whom.

In addition to her salary, the ex-official indicated a national cashback of UAH 459 and income from the sale of a car - UAH 294 thousand. By the way, Koverzniieva bought a Chevrolet Aveo in 2007 for 63.7 thousand hryvnias. Her new car, a Honda HR-V, cost 525 thousand hryvnias.

At her main job at Mykolaiv District Council, the former head's salary was one million hryvnias. However, in 2024, she received half as much for her work - UAH 589.9 thousand.

As for her savings, the declarant keeps 100.2 thousand hryvnias, 3 thousand euros and 3.8 thousand US dollars in her bank accounts. She declared 10 thousand euros and 20 thousand US dollars in cash. Prior to that, she had UAH 77.4 thousand, GBP 55 thousand, and EUR 1.1 thousand in her accounts, and kept EUR 5 thousand and USD 25 thousand in cash.

It should be noted that by the decision of the council, the powers of Hanna Koverzniova as a deputy from the Servant of the People party and the head of the Mykolaiv District Council of the eighth convocation were terminated ahead of schedule in December 2025. The decision was voted for by 35 deputies. There were no votes against. And, by the same decision, Deputy Chairman Andrii Dobrovolskyi was appointed acting chairman of the district council.
